The common reason why you are getting this error message is because the application is not recognized by the StreamServe Enterprise Repository (SER).
Figure 1 displays the error message.
In my experience this error appeared for all control center applications on a single server when I tried to stop, start, or restart applications. Curiously some would start back up and some would not.
The common advice is to restart the Management Gateway and Nanny services (see Figure 2), however in my experience one or both of these services may not stop. If this happens you could reboot your server.
Rebooting your server should eliminate the error and allow your control centre applications to resume normal service.
